Clyde F.C. Statement on ‘newco’ entry to Division 1 (Excellent appraisal)

The Club has received a set of papers in advance of the SFL meeting on Tuesday. The essential intent behind those papers is to induce the SFL clubs to agree a proposal to allow a Newco to enter the SFL in the First Division in exchange for a range of structural changes to the current set up and some small financial inducements. Some of the proposed changes have merit in principle.

The ‘no to newco’ campaign is now well and truly in full force with fans of all SPL club clamouring the see a ‘newco’ Rangers ousted from the top tier of Scottish Football and to the bottom of the professional leagues: all in the name of ‘sporting integrity’ of course. Pffft

Private Eye… Reasons for Craig Whytes Ban

THE full details can now be revealed why former owner Craig Whyte was banned for seven years from being a company director back in 2000 – a damaging fact that Whyte hid from football and City regulators when he acquired Rangers in May last year.

Dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return

It is currently 00.14am on Wednesday 13th June 2012.

If I were to sit down, ten years ago till this very day and tell people that Glasgow Rangers would be no more, ‘bankrupt’, ‘liquidated’, ‘kapeesh’  – however you wish to term it: I would have been laughed out of the company I found myself.

Indeed, that is now – unfortunately – the reality of the situation.
